Fisher Park is the oldest park neighborhood in Greensboro and is just a short walk away from the city center. I've lived here for the better part of 30 years and it is certainly the place to be.  Its oldest dwelling dates back to the 1850s and the houses that circle the park are both stunning and peaceful as a short drive will tell you.
Downtown, which has changed immensely since my childhood, has been revitalized in recent years with a multitude of restaurants and businesses.  Of course, the craft beer locations, Tanger Center and Ball Park are the obvious highlights! First though, enjoy some of wildlife that can be seen in the park's circle.
1st Presbyterian
1st Pres. is a real standout in architecture for the city. Established in 1824, whose founding members included 4 slaves, moved to this location in 1929 in a Gothic Rival style. The church sits just outside the circle of Fisher Park.
